Healthcare providers play a vital role in preventing diseases, promoting health, and treating disease. However, in the dynamic healthcare system, healthcare providers are often exposed to stressful working conditions in the work environment that affect their quality of life. Health professionals frequently express or show indications of burnout, such as work-privacy conflict, cultural barriers, heavy workload, depression, hostility, insufficient staffing, emotional demands, satisfaction with life, workplace bullying, cognitive stress, lower general health, demanding of hiding emotions (Oyetunde & Akinmeye, 2015). Thus said, patient education is an integral component in maintaining patients' health and wellbeing. Healthcare providers offer patients valuable information that helps them promote awareness and optimal health. Psychosocial factors among healthcare providers hamper their ability to provide patient education. According to Oyetunde & Akinmeye (2015), 70-90% of nurses who face psychosocial factors were less likely to provide better patient education.

These factors influence the ability of patients to seek, accept, and adhere to health interventions. Psychosocial factors that affect patients include loneliness, social support, work environment, social disruption, employment status, bereavement, social integration, to mention a few (Oyetunde & Akinmeye, 2015). For example, widows and widowers and divorced partners frequently seek primary care services than married and unmarried individuals. Typically, patient education plays a vital in increasing adherence to medication and treatment. Improved compliance, enhances patient outcomes as well as refining efficiency and effectiveness in healthcare interventions. However, psychosocial factors negatively affect the incorporation of this valuable information into their health.

To achieve optimal care for patients, healthcare providers must have a better understanding of patients' personality styles and how they relate to their decision-making. According to personality styles are individual preferences and inclinations that informs one's behavior. They encompass a combination of different elements, including feelings, actions, attitudes, modes of thought, strivings, impulses, strivings, and responses to opportunity and healthy ways of interacting with other people. These traits and patterns can be known to an individual, or other people can observe them directly or through individual communication with them.
