Ethical Decision Making in HC Personal ethics, have over time, been looked upon as moral basis upon which individuals develop their lives. According to the literature personal ethics aid in decision formulations and guide individuals towards various undertakings for the purpose of meeting expected moral standards (Johnstone, 1999). Within the various undertakings regarding nursing, personal ethics has been found to be very useful due to the fact that it props up desirable service provision which ensures that effective trimming down regarding injustices and harms upon individuals is effectively realized. This paper shall thus explore the dimensions of personal ethics in regard to the nursing profession. The spiritual, cultural and personal in my nursing practice There are various spiritual, cultural and personal values which have been found to effectively add to nursing philosophy and worldview regarding nursing. These may be put to light as follows. For instance, spiritual values which have been evident in this case include the fact that individuals have to their best to express honor for God in their work (Daly, 2005). Before starting my nursing career, it has been found out that involved individuals ought to involve themselves in oath taking process for the purpose of swearing by God’s name to effectively undertake the involved duties (Daly, 2005). Cultural values which I have experienced include the fact that I ought to undertake various operations in accordance with various behavioral aspects which are looked upon as desirable within society. This includes treatment which may be looked upon as fair among individuals and involvement nursing therapies which do not end up violating patients’ cultural values (Payne, 2004). Personal values have also substantially added to my philosophy and worldview regarding nursing. This is due to the fact that ethics effectively direct my nursing activities, making it possible for me to offer services which are desirable (Gostin, 2002).Various professional requirements have been able to effectively add to my philosophy and worldview regarding nursing. This is due to the fact that the requirements enhance my operation regarding handling of various individuals because such requirements promote ethics within the nursing field (Johnstone, 1999). Professional codes have therefore effectively shaped my nursing practice. Ethics, morals and values definitions within nursing practice obligations Ethics, morals and values definitions regarding nursing practice obligations may be put to light as follows. For instance, ethics has over time been looked upon as statements’ body which provides standards which are agreed upon regarding expected nurses’ actions as the profession representatives (Daly, 2005). Ethics are very useful when it comes to nursing activities. Morals have been regarded as aspects which attempt to effectively develop personal characters within the nursing field, for the purpose of ensuring that nurses extend expected behaviors within their work as nurses (Payne, 2004). Values have been viewed as enduring and important ideas or beliefs which are usually shared by nurses about aspects which are desirable or good and those which are undesirable (Gostin, 2002).
