Brief Introduction
Industrial hygiene refers to regulating risky workplace conditions to keep employees from being injured or sick. Hygiene is essential since it promotes a conducive working environment in most organizations. Various organizations are always in charge of this activity. Specifically, this essay will focus on four of these critical organizations, as identified below.  
Comparison of the Organizations
Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) primary mission is to guarantee a secure and healthy working setting for all men and women in the United States (U.S.). The organization creates and sets obligatory occupational health and safety requirements related to millions of American working zones. Among other aspects, OSHA heavily depends on industrial hygienists to assess jobs for possible health dangers. Their mission to develop these health and safety standards encompasses ascertaining the extent of workers' exposure to hazards and determining whatever is required to regulate these threats and safeguard workers (Michaels & Wagner, 2020). Secondly, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) 's mission is to offer national and global leadership to avoid work-based sickness, death, disability, and injury. It executes its mission by collecting data, performing scientific studies, and transforming the knowledge obtained into commodities. NIOSH's mission is significant to every U.S employee's health and safety. The association's most important activity contributing mainly to its mission, is research that concentrates on studying employee health and safety.
