Nurses have a responsibility to keep improving the quality of health. To ensure that healthcare is improved, nurses must use their voice to advocate for their patients and the nursing profession, and as such, one of the key essentials of a master's education in nursing is health policy and advocacy.
My graduate education has prepared me to improve the quality of healthcare by using my voice to promote safe, evidence-based practices in the workplace. This has further been amplified by my current nursing practicum project on dysphagia screening for stroke patients.
