Advocating for one employee has always been considered a way to retain employees, especially in healthcare. Because of the nature of the work of nurses, it is expected that there are many factors involved in keeping nurses on their jobs expecting high levels of productivity and good quality of care. Nursing employees encounter many issues, and because of these issues, there is a great need to advocate for them, especially when they appear powerless in contrast to the administration. Nurses are central to comprehensive healthcare. Advocating for nurse employees by nurse leaders protects the employees from occupational issues and lets them carry on with their work (Stamps et al., 2021). Nurse employees need advocates who fight for their work conditions, safety, and welfare to care for their patients without worrying optimally.
