It is amazing that as a student nurse, you were able to have a close connection with a psychiatric patient and be able to help them to some extent. The distraction method is one of the difficult ways of dealing with such patients because their attitude towards the activity that you have engaged in can change at any moment. It is a risk that a nurse takes for the sake of the patient's wellness. Every patient is different, and they require different intervention methods. The nurse should be in a position to predict the method that works
