Question One
The Manager as Coach (MAC) is one of a kind, systematic, highly effective, and a practical leadership training program suited to the demands of a firm. With the help of one-on-one contact between executives and their team members, the programs' impactful brief-structured coaching dialogues help to solve most management problems. A shared knowledge of what has to be accomplished and how it is to be completed is created through coaching, which is a tool for fostering a relationship between the management and employees (Lawrence, 2017). Therefore, managers must oversee, direct, and lead while exerting minimal control over subordinates. The MAC function is suited for leaders because it can help them motivate their staff, focus on a proactive strategy to strengthen team dynamics, and maximize their work's potential. A coach's primary responsibility is to boost team performance and help individuals reach their next level of effectiveness. In addition to the latter outcome, executives can easily promote team performance by inspiring their staff to complete their duties and tasks well. By incorporating coaching into leadership roles, executives may build trust among team members and foster an emotionally intelligent workplace. Through coaching, it will be possible to know each team member as a person and to discover more about their objectives, abilities, and interests. Employees will grow to respect and trust their leader if the latter pays attention to them. MAC also enhances team performance by inspiring growth and learning among team members. The program supports employees in identifying their potential for learning, problem-solving capacity, and ability to function well in teams (Ladyshewsky, 2010). Additionally, it gives staff members opportunities to learn how to increase their output and performance.
Regarding disadvantages, effective coaching of leaders requires a lot of time. MAC is the least used strategy in m...
