Even as leaders envision and provide directions to support accountable care, having multiple perspectives will provide an opportunity to make decisions more critically. There are challenges and opportunities for leaders as they integrate technology solutions. The leaders also need to be innovative as the heath care industry is changing rapidly, with the leadership supporting a culture of innovativeness to improve performance and quality of care. Additionally, adaptability will be crucial for leaders to effect changes, as organizations could be left behind when the leaders are slow to adapt the cutting-edge technology that improve efficiency and effectiveness in clinical settings. The ability to foster positive working environment makes it easier to adopt changes, while also being flexibile to accommodate the input of other health care practitioners.
