Understanding the relationship between the healthcare profession and its responsibilities is essential for any healthcare provider or professional. It allows him to have a broader view of his role in society and help further improve the same. Accordingly, it could be seen that these responsibilities are not confined within a single territory but are rather diverse enough to help everyone who is in need. In this article, the author would like to focus on the things that healthcare professionals may do to promote population and community health. He believes that care providers should not be limited to one’s place or community but rather diverse enough to cater to everyone in need.
Advocacies in the Professional and the Societal Level
One of the ways on how healthcare professionals may promote community help is through advocacy. Promoting advocacy through lobbying, joining, or supporting healthcare organizations can be done by almost anyone regardless of their background in life. Nonetheless, studies show that healthcare workers have a more significant impact when they join in promoting health-related advocacy in their community CITATION Kal16 \l 1033 (Kalra & Baniak, 2016). Thus, this suggests that when healthcare professionals take an active stance towards advocacies, it helps boost the community’s chances of success.
Another action that healthcare professionals may take is through research.
