Leadership in the health care sector is one of the most important elements in guiding the health care delivery objectives (Kaiser Permanente Share, 2015). The healthcare system is rapidly changing and it is up to the health care leaders in the various institutions to take charge of the health care delivery systems to make sure that they meet the desired and set standards. Health care is becoming more patient centered and the health care professionals have to stay ahead of the curve (BRYANT, 2013).
Kaiser Permanente Hospital is one of the facilities that has embraced the new trend in the health care sector, by adopting leadership styles that bring about a revolution. Leadership at the hospital is geared towards understanding the complexity of individual nuances and patients’ dynamics (Kaiser Permanente Share, 2015). The leadership has initiated a health care delivery system that is highly angled towards whole continuum of care (Mckinsey.com, 2015). This is extended from the outpatient care setting to the home care settings. As such the element of helping the communities is highly established where the hospital helps those that cannot be in a position to get to the hospital (BRYANT, 2013). This is a crucial element of health care, as offering services to the community does not just mean helping those that come to the health care services, but also taking health care services to those that most need them (Mckinsey.com, 2015). Health care has reformed and is now as it is geared towards the patients’ needs other than the hospital’s needs. The staff employment process is quite elaborate getting the best personnel on board and well-oiled health care teams (BRYANT, 2013). One of the best elements that is associated with the level of collaboration and staff empowerment at the hospital. This forms the basis for quality care that is highly associated with the hospital (Kaiser Permanente Share, 2015).
