Total expenditure
The health care costs in the United States are seen to have a drastic escalation in the recent times though the rate of the expenditure growth is having slowed in the recent times. The increase in the health care cost is noticeable as we compare the national health expenditure totals from past years to date. The criteria show that in the year 1970, the total national health expenditure was seventy-four point nine billion dollars that were equivalent to seven point two percent of Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
