The demand for quality healthcare in America is gradually increasing due to the high population. President Barack Obama introduced the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacare in the year 2010. Its primary objective is to provide Americans with outstanding health services to all individuals at minimized cost. It aims at transforming the healthcare sector by providing quality healthcare and health cover services.
Access to affordable and specialized health care is paramount in all states of America. According to statistics done by Daschle and Nather (2010), about 10.2 million of American citizens enrolled in healthcare insurance policies by the end of the year 2014. Notably, the figure was a significant increment for less than one million Americans registered by the year 2010. Moreover, hospital care costs have drastically decreased by about $7.5 billion by the end of 2014.
Affordable healthcare services are now available to a considerable number of American across the states. A significant number of insurers have recently joined the sector, and therefore, the premiums have drastically reduced.
