IOM Recommendations and Their Relevance
The future nature of various professions changes as each year goes by and the nursing profession is no exception. The major objective of the recommendations is to improve the quality of nursing related services to the various parties involved and in the process raise a generation of nurses worthy of the task that is presented unto them in their respective nations.
Proposed Measures to be taken
To fit in the list of recommendations set by the IOM in future years, I would first have to meet the required qualifications. To fulfill the requirements for recommendation 4, I first need to get a degree in nursing. I will achieve this by enrolling for a nursing course in a credible university within or outside the country and finish the course in the next four years. I will also work hard to get the best grades that I am needed to achieve by the end of the course. I will also achieve the additional credits that come with volunteering and working in a hospital.
