Ethics review committees evaluate study designs that involve human participants and their data to guarantee they are in sync with local and international; ethical guidelines. These committees monitor researches after initiation and may be engaged in follow-up exercises after the conclusion. Ethics review committees have the mandate to accept, repudiate, or alter studies that do not uphold ethical standards. Ethics review committees are important members as they have an oversight role on a human research protocol.
