I agree with you that nurses and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNPs) must establish therapeutic relationships with patients (Sharma & Gupta, 2022). I like the fact that you have captured this important bit in your discussion. As I was writing this discussion post, I read that it is always good to show patients empathy. I believe there are so many scenarios people have should our empathy. For example, I was interacting with a woman whose child had got burnt while the mother was cooking. Instead of blaming the woman for the situation, I tried consoling her and understanding her reasons.
