Hospital Systems Name Institutional Affiliation Hospital Systems Access to quality healthcare is one of the fundamental needs of human beings. As such, it is highly essential that this access is not only available, but also suitable to the needs of the patient. In this regard, healthcare systems need to be structured in a way that is patient-centered and that equally supports patients and caregivers (Oster & Braaten, 2016). Taking this information into account, a reliable and working healthcare system is comprised of a number of factors, which are further explored below. Nursing Philosophy and Theory First and most importantly, a perfect hospital system for the delivery of high-quality and reliable care is grounded in a sound nursing philosophy and theory. For this system, the philosophy of caring and the theory of interpersonal relations work well to complement each other (Polit & Beck, 2017). The nursing philosophy of caring is derived from the nursing goal of caring. This philosophy focuses on providing the best care possible to all patients consistently and reliably. This philosophy lays the foundation for a reliable healthcare and hospital system that focuses on the patient and on delivering care as it is needed. Similarly, the nursing theory of interpersonal relations focuses on the different roles that nurses play as they interact with patients such as the stranger, teacher, surrogate, and leader roles just to name a few. This theory allows nurses to grow their relationships with patients in the process of care delivery and leverage said relationships to improve the quality of life for their patients. This combination works perfectly for a hospital system seeing as it allows caregivers to provide the best services possible, which helps patients recover much faster. Incorporation of Technology Technology has become a staple of modern healthcare service delivery. From technology to aid in surgical procedures to technologies that assist hospitals better serve their patients, healthcare has embraced the incorporation of technology into its services whole-heartedly. In this model hospital system, a comprehensive and powerful Electronic Health Record (EHR) system is integral to the success of the hospital (Saleem & Herout, 2018). This system will enable patients to be admitted faster, monitored during admissions with greater ease and lesser confusion, as well as make bundled payments as opposed to individualized numerous payments t different departments for different services as is the case with many facilities. The incorporation of an EHR system to streamline the operations of the hospital and its ability to deliver services plays a critical role in developing a sustainable and effective hospital system. At the same time, it is equally important to note the significance of incorporating healthcare technologies for the future. One of these technologies that would work well in the future is an online platform through which patients can remotely access basic services such as making appointments. In the future, this would go a long way towards increasing the efficiency of hospital service delivery (Saleem & Herout, 2018). It would also reduce unnecessary congestion at the facility as well as the possibilities o...
