Identify or trace the path of a red blood cell through all anatomical/structural areas of the heart.
The red blood cell (RBC) leaves the left ventricle through the aorta artery, which branches throughout the body, and carries oxygenated blood (Marieb & Smith, 2016). In branching, the vessels become finer until capillaries are formed, where the gas exchange between the globule and the cell takes place, collecting the carbon dioxide. It continues on its way, and the capillaries meet to form veins, which reach the right atrium as superior and inferior vena cava (IVC). The RBC passes to the right ventricle. From there, the pulmonary artery leaves towards the lungs where it makes through the pulmonary or lower circuit, leaving the carbon dioxide and carrying the oxygen. The RBC leaves the lung through the pulmonary veins reaching the left atrium, with oxygenated blood, passes to the left ventricle, and the cycle is repeated.
Identify and briefly describe the components of the intrinsic conduction system in the transmission of the impulse in the heart.
The main parts of the intrinsic conduction system are the SA node, AV node, AV bundle, bundle branches, and subendocardial conducting network. 
The SA node is the primary driver of the heart rate that generates impulses. 
The AV (atrioventricular) node is located between the atria and ventricles. The AV node controls the heart rate and is an electrical relay station, which slows down the electrical current originating from the SA node, and then the signal moves through to the ventricle.
The atrioventricular (AV) or bundle of HIS bundle connects the atria to ventricles. It transmits impulses from the atrioventricular node to the heart’s ventricles.
Bundle branches run between the ventricles and conduct impulses through the interventricular septum.
