The program has benchmarks that are continually monitored during that period. Background
Diabetes is the 7th leading killer in the united states. it is a noncommunicable condition that develops over time. There are two types of diabetes; diabetes type 1 and diabetes type 2. Diabetes type 1 also known as diabetes mellitus occurs when the body thorough the pancreases is unable to produce sufficient amounts of insulin to convert blood glucose to glycogen. This leads to high blood glucose in the body, and it affects the osmotic balance of the body and many other physiological processes at the cell level.
Secondly, diabetes increases the likelihood of developing other conditions. Diabetes patients are 1.8 times likely to develop a heart attack than people without diagnosed diabetes. Diabetes is also the leading cause of kidney failure: lower limb amputation and reduced visions of adult-onset blindness.
Thirdly, it is important to note that diabetes is largely caused by poor feeding habits and lack of exercise. Obese people are more likely to develop diabetes than people with normal Body Mass Index weight levels.
