The impact of global policy on health programs and services in relation to environmental sustainability
Global policy is a field involved with different issues that are present among various continents of the world. These issues range from creating global networks, promoting innovations, and assessing the effectiveness of the policies that are being implemented. The concerns that are continuously being evaluated and continuously improved are health programs and services. As seen in both videos, representatives, and experts of different fields are gathered together to discuss how the current system functions in response to health concerns that are faced by many countries.
The policies that are being implemented globally aim to address global health challenges but these do not just directly concern health and wellness but are also affected by aspects like poverty, economic status, governance, etc. It is important to note that the environment plays a vital role when it comes to the prevention of both communicable and non-communicable diseases. Environmental hazards such as toxic chemicals, air pollution, and water contamination are just some of the causes of illnesses, abnormality, or even death (Chattu, 2017). Every after a few years or decades, there is also a sudden epidemic that rises and affects a lot of people with high chances of spreading all over the globe, and with this said the response team should not only be prepared prior to the epidemic but should also know how to respond to stop the spread and find a cure to the disease. In these moments, the global policies concerning health service become the foundation of the different countries that are joining efforts to address the problems and challenges.
The responses to the health challenges that are encountered should be effective but also sustainable. The global policies and its concerns are ever-changing and this affects the system. Old and new including both global and local issues are happening, including other factors such as poverty that adds to the difficulty of addressing the actual issue. There is evolution when it comes to the issues and concerns, including the status and lifestyle of the community and its people. Generations evolve and technological advancements are also discovered (Stone, 2008). These pose the need for continuous improvements in our global policies that are focused on health programs and services to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency in modern times.
