Expected Outcomes
This project has both primary and secondary goals that it pursues against which its success can be measured. The final stage (1 month) will accommodate the evaluation and appraisal of the project. At the onset of the project, some objectives were set. For instance, there is a primary and secondary expected outcome for the intervention. The primary outcomes are low distress, anxiety, and depression rates. The secondary outcome is the quality of life. The aspects of quality of life that the study will focus on include education on various determinants of health, security and freedom, recreation and leisure time, as well as physical and mental health. Psychoeducational interventions are associated with improved quality of life among breast cancer patients. Achieving the outcomes will define the scope of the evaluation prospects. The project managers can also determine the scope of further interventions, based on their findings, to boost even better health outcomes for the targeted population in the future.
Data Collection Tools
The study intends to employ a range of data collection tools to reach its findings. Considering the understanding that the study will use a mixed-method design, the employment of both qualitative and quantitative data tools will be a necessity in the project. For quantitative data, the project will rely on desk research in which published quantitative studies will be used to infer the possible outcomes of the project. In desk research, the researcher identifies peer-reviewed resources that should help in defining the scope of data. Normally, quantitative studies complement qualitative designs in delivering holistic outcomes in the prospects of studies.
The project also intends to employ qualitative data collection tools to reach its findings. Considering the exceeding reliance on participant experiences, executing interactive data collection approaches will be appropriate. Also, the project intends to cover a large sample frame to bear significant impacts on the targeted population (Onwuegbuzie & Johnson, 2021). To that extent, the project will reach out to more participants through questionnaires. Online questionnaires can be easy to disseminate and they can also be distributed over long distances. It is worth remarking that the project will have actual participants in the educational program. The participants can recruit their peers, members of social groups, or community members who will not manage to participate in the actual project activities.
The most appropriate data collection tool for this project will be interviewed.
