End of life care coexists to support people in their last months or years of life. The care aims at providing a better life for the people by relieving their suffering (Hillman, 2014). Different health and social care professionals are responsible for providing the care, and they have a core duty to grant their patient wishes and preferences (Deodhar, 2016). Trends in end of life care show that the care is growing poorer every day, but this can be changed once people understand fundamental necessities in end of attention. Individuals who are dying mostly need care in for main areas, which include physical comfort, mental and emotional needs, spiritual issues, and practical tasks.
Providing of good care at the end of life require health professionals to understand their role towards the dying people. They should be knowledgeable of the facilities to use to ensure their patients are comfortable (Allen, 2009). Health professionals should also pay close attention to their patients to identify any distress.
