EHR (electronic health record) is a combination of all medical digital data or information belonging to a patient (Cowie et al., 2017). It comprises all previous records and shows a history of a patient’s wellbeing. Like other projects, the implementation phase of EHR is a critical stage due to its direct influence on the success of the project. Thus, it is a vital requirement for respective institutions and agencies to apply project management techniques appropriately.
Aldosari (2017) supports that project management techniques are essential because they come in handy in the planning process. When drafting the project’s guideline that is intended to inform the ultimate use of EHR, it is vital to ensure proper documentation of the expected costs as they form the basis of convincing all the relevant stakeholders.
