Health care reforms are part of government strategies and approaches that affect health care services in a particular place. The ultimate purpose of health care reforms is to improve the quality of care by either stabilizing or reducing costs of care. These reforms also are working to ensure that many people get insurance policies to protect their health. It is also important to note that these reforms are focusing on disease prevention and individual wellness rather than the treatment of the diseases that could have been prevented.

This will and is being achieved by various reforms that have been put in place, and some will be discussed below. First, the government in conjunction with the public health sector, is working to enhance access to health care professionals as one of the reforms. The sector is working to employ more trained and skilled personnel; this will ensure that the rural hospitals and dispensaries get doctors and physicians (Marusic and Rupel, 2016). These specialists are aiming towards improving health care in those rural areas. This is because they are helping in creating awareness and providing useful information like healthy eating habits and diseases like diabetes, some cancers, obese, and high blood pressure are prevented.
Also, the government is focusing on improving health care access. This is being achieved by the construction of more clinics, dispensaries, and hospitals in various parts of the nation, including the rural areas. These new facilities are enhancing and promoting the health sector by increasing the community’s commitment towards maintaining a clean environment. With a clean environment, it is impossible to have cases of cholera, which causes diarrhoea, cancers, and stroke, among others. With many health facilities, benefits like cost reduction of medicaments, increased health care, and enhances patient satisfaction.
