Digestive disorders affect millions of people yearly. Digestive diseases affect the digestive tract, including the liver, stomach, esophagus, small and large and small intestines, gallbladder, and pancreas (Wu et al., 2021). All digestive disorders cause mild to severe diseases. A common symptom of digestive disorders is bloating, bleeding, pain, vomiting, heartburn, constipation, diarrhea, and nausea. Ulcers are a common digestive disorder affecting a significant percentage of Americans.
Peptic Ulcers
Peptic ulcers are painful sores that form in the intestines and the stomach. Peptic ulcers are classified into gastric ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and esophageal ulcers (Wu et al., 2021).
