With the aid of passionate professionals in the nursing sector, such as Florence Nightingale, the shifts in the nursing profession have been so instrumental in improving service delivery. It takes a lot of work from the agents of change to initiate and implement change within organizations and impact positively on all the areas of the firm. On the impact that the change may have on the organization as well as the stakeholders as a whole, there ought to be a proper strategic plan for implementing the change (Kilpatrick et al., 2013).
In my organization, we are used to making use of staffing grids in managing productivity. There was a need to introduce change by making use of revised staffing matrices. The increased Staffing Matrix would aid in narrowing down the ratio of nurses per patient. The newly revised matrix also ensured a reduction in the other support staff like the secretaries, clinical technicians and receptionists (Barefield & Meyer, 2013).
