Tracing back to history, the concept of health has evolved several times. The definition of health has been influenced by the level of scientific knowledge and beliefs of the people of that particular era. The definition of this concept during the 19th century is deeply rooted in the physical experiences of an individual that is directly related to the disease. Initially, health was defined as the state of being with the absence of disease. During this time, sanitary conditions were not as advanced, which led to the widespread of various diseases. In 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) established a definition of health that is not merely explained as being free from a specific illness. According to WHO, health is well-being, including physical, mental, and social capacity. In this period, sanitary conditions have improved and were better interpreted.
