Observe the interactions between committee members and the process used by the committee to arrive at decisions.
In 500-750 words, describe the function of the committee and the roles of those in attendance. Describe your observations of the interactions between members of the committee and determine whether the process used to arrive at decisions is a form of shared governance.

There are usually two very different things when it comes to healthcare meetings and decisions. The first one is the easier part, which entails organizing, planning and bringing together the relevant personnel to the table, to discuss the issue or issues in question. The second aspect is the most difficult one, and it involves now managing to get all these stakeholders to come up with a unanimous decision over the same. This brings to the fore the importance and roles of a committee. Attending a meeting held by a committee provides quite a great insight into exactly what usually happens behind the scenes, as far as decision making goes.
In a healthcare setting, the roe of a committee is to steer the organization in the right direction by coming up with measures and suggestions that can be applied to the institution. It therefore acts to streamline the running of the organization by providing the most important technical and professional guidance in clinical matters. While giving such decisions to the institution, the committee also provides the top leadership with advice, while keeping everything in check, to ensure that the invitation is well in compliance with any requirements (Yearwood & Stranieri, 2011). These requirements can be professional or legal. Like any other typical committee, it has the chairperson, who leads and directs the sitting, as well as he vice chair and secretary.
For that specific committee, its role was to come up with decisions and suggestions on how to effectively manage the healthcare institution, with a specific focus on patient-centered approaches. This therefore, affected various aspects of the healthcare organization, such as the actual administration or dissemination of the healthcare services (Nikoi & Boateng, 2014).
