This is done with an aim of ensuring shared financial risk in provision of its services. Banner Health has expanded its network by establishing a fully integrated system. These include Banner Health Network (BHN), Banner Medical Group (BMG) and Banner University Medicine. This paper will assess the organization’s readiness in meeting the healthcare needs of citizens in the next decade and propose a strategic plan in network growth, nurse staffing, resource management and patient satisfaction to ensure readiness.
Readiness in Addressing the Healthcare Needs of Citizens in the Next Decade
Just like any other organizations in the healthcare industry, Banner Health is alive to the dynamics of the health system. It has consistently improved on its staffing, network growth, resource management and customer satisfaction, an indication that it is ready to address the healthcare needs of citizens in the next decade. The organization has come up with a plan to ensure that it remains afloat and continue to provide quality healthcare to its patients for the next ten years and even beyond. There is an increase in the demand of healthcare services which requires adequate health facilities.
Banner Health has put in place a strong system that responds adequately to the changing healthcare environment. It has expanded its services by setting up hospitals and branches in various states to responds to the growing demand for healthcare services. There is Banner Medical Group (BMG) which serves patients in various care settings. It is a group of more than 1000 physicians and advanced practitioners providing services in Arizona, Colorado among other states. Adequate staff is key to healthcare service delivery. As population grows, the numbers of patients also grow. An increase in the number of patient population would require adequate staffing by healthcare providers (Perera, et al., 2012). With this group of professionals spread out across various states, Banner Health is able to meet the growing demands of healthcare services posed by the increasing population. This puts the organization in a better a position to provide excellent healthcare services to the patients even in the foreseeable future.
Through Banner Health, the organization oversees the provision of quality healthcare services to the insured population working in public and private sector courtesy of its collaboration with insurance companies.
