From this case study, it is evident that 76-year-old Mr. P has been hospitalized a number of times to treat CHF symptoms. He finds it difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle and does not believe in diet restrictions. In addition, he has never been able to manage his polypharmacy. He has no one in his family to look after him except his wife, who remains overwhelmed with a stack of medical bills. This often leads the patient to think of dying and getting rid of all depression, financial problems, and other issues.
Approach to Care
Patients like Mr. P can recover from the illness if they consider two options: firstly, they have to change their dietary plan, and secondly, they should not lose the hope. The only problem is that he does not eat healthy foods and lives a lazy life, which is what he must pay attention to immediately.
