What are the forms of the Heat transfer,
Give example on each form of heat transfer.
Conduction - The heat transfer happens directly by the spreading energy to adjacent matter that are in contact. Heat is not transferred by flowing matter, just direct contact. ex. Hot water in a metal pot makes it pot hot to touch.
Convection - This is the transfer of heat or energy by a medium of matter or material, such as air or fluid. The heat from a source is transferred to another object from another form of matter. ex. Air fryer, which pushes air through very hot Iron coil to cook food.
Radiation- Occurs when energy is emanated from a source such as light, radio waves, and other kinds waves and is absorbed by another cooler body. The energy transfer is direct and does not go through a medium, and does not have to be in direct contact. ex. The heat of the sun reaching earth by travelling through the void of space due to the high-energy processes in the sun.
What is meant by Sea breeze and land breeze?
A sea breeze or onshore breeze is any wind that blows from a very big body of water onto a body of land or landmass; it is create due to differences in air pressure which is present due to the differing heat capacities of water and dry land. Because of this, sea breezes are more confined than prevailing winds. Because land absorbs solar radiation significantly faster than water, a sea breeze is a common incidence along shorelines after sunrise. By contrast, a land breeze or offshore breeze is the reverse effect: dry land also cools more quickly than water and, after sunset, a sea breeze dissipates and the wind instead flows from the land towards the sea.
