The evolution of black lives matter has created shifts in the political and cultural focus of society. The leaders who started the movement see a need to change the dynamic of culture and legal policy. When I hear the phrase "All Lives Matter", I think it is valid and part of the evolving movement. However, I also see the point taken by the organizers of the Black Lives Matter Movement. The roots of the movement are to highlight how specific demographics are subjected to different societal challenges. The call is to create importance and celebration of human life and culture, making all the sacrifices worthwhile. The movement calls for the leaders to make policy changes that would protect the oppressed and the ostracized. "All Lives Matter" stems from the more profound feeling that violence and disunity should not be the solution to problems.
The Blue Lives Matter movement stems from a representation of cops as protectors of order, however, this movement has racist connotations. Its flag has been seen raiste in white supremacist rallies. It seeks to undermine and disregard the disproportionate aggression towards black Americans. Many police forces are under hot societal perception because of their handling of the protests across the US. This slogan undermines the Black Lives Matter movement, because it is the black community that is facing absolute injustice and societal challenges.
