My School's Current and Future Challenges
The learning process is always not easy, and schools experience different challenges every day. For many school administrators and stakeholders, they are wondering whether they can have concrete solutions to the currently experienced challenges in school. There are different challenges in different aspects of life such as, lifestyle, finances, technology, and social factors. However, as schools strive to implement changes to solve the challenges, the world is rapidly advancing, creating more problems.
Technology
On the verge of new and advanced technology, our school is creating more space to accommodate almost every student. On this aspect, they have developed virtual programs that are accessed online. Due to poor internet connection in school, some programs are difficult to run, making students perform poorly. Online education is the most typical means of learning in the current world, reflecting the need for smooth and efficient internet connectivity. Moreover, technology has contributed negatively in school; for example, it distracts creativity since students solely depend on technology to acquire information. We have experienced a lot of unethical practices in school. Due to high-end tech devices' availability, students are using artificial intelligence scientific know-how to create fake identities (Armstrong & Franklin, 2008).
Consequently, students also engage in cybercrime activities, which push them to cheat on exams barring accountability and integrity. Technology has made it much difficult for teachers to assess students' performance and productivity, which poses a threat to the future of schools. It will be equally challenging to determine students' true identity in the future due to the increased use of AI integrated deep fakes (Elsevier (2010). Pervasive technology will have significant damage to the learning process, mostly weakening the academic fabric. According to New York Times (2020), technology will suppress students' productivity, and the future of schools is believed to be more troubled due to the increased use of technology. Furthermore, the solution to the technological challenges faced in schools is solely embedded in the users.
Social Trends
Social trends refer to students' participation in different school activities either through media platforms or social clubs. Apart from learning, the other important entity for all students is to connect harmoniously. However, it is not the case in the current school life since everyone is hag to their mobile gadgets. Some of the challenges we face today in school such as racial prejudices, cyber bullying and discrimination can be solved through social activities. Collaborating with all ethnic groups in a social club allows everyone to showcase their culture, making everyone appreciate and respect each other (Armstrong & Franklin, 2008).
