Week 2 Reflection
The week was very interesting, and I had a rewarding experience with my students. The week was very important since the students did their State ELA exams. A few students were not prepared for the exams, and some seemed very worried. Some of these students asked me questions about what to expect in the exams and how to improve on their weak areas. I tried my best to guide them on the best way to prepare for the exams, and we even did some extra work during the two days due to the exam since lessons had been paused and there was limited teaching.
I was happy that all the unprepared students were now ready to handle what they came across before the exams. For many students, the exam period is a very stressful time. The symptoms of stress include sadness, lack of sleep, mood changes, fatigue, and changes in weight or appetite (Shrivastava & Rajan, 2018).
