Leadership is more hinged towards planning and shaping the vision of a firm, management on the other hand primarily concentrates on value creation and execution. An administration ensures there is a smooth process that allows handling of tasks in an orderly manner. They all work together in a fluid mechanism to ensure the success of a firm. It is worth noting that leadership plays an integral part of effective management (Gopee & Galloway, 2014). It creates a favorable environment for all employs to develop and excel. A leader’s job is to lead by example and to motivate while a manager plan, organize and coordinate. An administrator carries out the crucial task of setting up objectives and important policies of a firm or organization (Pani, 2014).
There are four basic functions involved in management. They include Planning, Organizing, Leading, and Controlling. The features cut across all businesses. An effective manager knows how vital the four functions are for the success of a business or an organization.
