They claim that kids learn better from real-life experiences than from reading them in textbooks or via lessons. Moreover, this is accurate because doing the basic stuff they are taught generates muscle memory that will make them comfortable with the things they are taught, increasing their confidence. Chapter one of the textbook "Making it Stick" concentrates on how to retain the information and lessons provided to students or any learners alike, stating that teaching in the classroom is insufficient to help pupils recall the lesson they are taught verbally.
As a side note to this reflection, I remember the first time I rode a ride in an amusement park with my parents. I was so excited at first but became scared as the ride started, and I was on the verge of crying as I screamed my lungs out, wishing for the ride to end. After the ride, I am about to cry but have a mixed feeling of happiness as I see people who rode the ride happy as well. Moreover, that experience has stuck with me, making me realize that it is a component of knowledge retention related to this reflection that I will conduct.
People tend to remember exciting, fun, and exhilarating things that can sometimes become unforgettable. Adding activities like this to the teaching method at school or any learning facility will increase the chances of learners remembering the information they have received based on the lesson of the activities they have done. A person can learn and familiarize themselves with anything and recite some complicated things like a section of an engine or each component of a rifle, but they will have difficulty locating the pieces they memorize in actual practice. Students do not teach everything in textbooks, and face-to-face learning is crucial since they can learn valuable lessons and occasionally techniques that will improve their career or learning stage.
