Financial Freedom Essay
Motivation to have financial freedom goes a long way and is more than owning houses, clothes, vacations, and jewelry. Financial freedom comes with control and being able to make ones’ life choices. Several things drive my motivation behind achieving financial independence.
First, as a student, I come across individuals in the streets who need food and clothing, and the environment they live in touches my heart. There are not only men but also women and children who need help. Particularly seeing younger children drives me to yearn for financial freedom. This way, I can give a part of the little I have and share it with other needy families by offering them food and drinks when I can. Despite being unable to provide them with these needs in the long term, I can help feed them for a day or two, which is fulfilling.
In addition, I have watched young people lost in drug addiction, people who can be a part of society. Some are unable to pay for their rehabilitation fee as they cannot even acquire employment. With financial freedom, I can help with rehabilitation fees. In the future, opening a rehabilitation center can help me achieve my ultimate goal as I will be giving back to society. Through the rehabilitation system, individuals who have been drug addicts will be supported and recommended for employment. Individuals with prior history of drug abuse find it hard to secure employment which might play a role in relapse cases due to stress (Moustafa et al., 2021).
