Introduction
Leadership may get defined as the art to influence other people. A leader needs to be self-driven, have an open mind, and interact and fit in any group. Leadership development entails growing one's capacity to skillfully and tactfully lead people and gain sufficient knowledge to expand their careers.
Leadership development opportunities
Leadership development opportunities involve occasions that, when exploited, a person would become experienced to lead in fairly prominent positions in firms and other groups, which are either formal or informal. After I graduated from the university with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Childhood Education, I got attached to some school. I have majored in Science, Math, and Engineering (STEM) and, as such, have been certified in the NYS. I have worked for over four public schools in various Union-Free School District in Long Island as a student participant, observer, and student-teacher. The students I took charge of aged three months old to sixth grade.
The tasks involved were overwhelming on the grounds of dealing with children of tender age, and it required patience to interact and fit within their understanding. To develop my leadership skills as a global education leader, I participated in Hofstra's HNET workshop, which offers training and informs teachers on common issues that they encounter in their routine jobs. In this workshop, I learned the need to have a kind heart while guiding people. Sometimes, the learners were so irritating, and others got involved in repetitive mistakes, which taught me the need to accommodate people and direct them in their assigned tasks.
