Before re-development, The Edithvale Community Center existed as an elementary school in the North York region of Toronto. Approximately, the center covers 50,000 square feet on an architecturally designed urban fabric to encourage expansion along its avenues. The facility is systematically arranged to diversify accessibility in the community programs and events ranging from the gymnasium, two pre-school rooms, dance studios, running tracks, to craft rooms. The center is conceptualized in a T-shaped design, enhancing a convenient backdrop to the neighboring court, as well as the urban forecourt (Toronto Parks, 2019). Multipurpose art rooms are the primary concerns towards achieving the building's programs such as fitness centers, sporting activities, and campsites.
