The specific learning need for Ines is learning the English language and math concepts. Due to her mental condition, Ines has extra needs when it comes to the study of maths. She is also one year below her grade, and this means she needs to work harder in class to comprehend the content better.
On the other hand, Eduardo is a male student of Hispanic origin. He is an English Language Learner in the Low Intermediate learning level. He is from a mid-socio-economic status and is one year below her grade level. Eduardo needs Tier 2 RTI for reading and playing percussion in school. His specific learning needs are studying English and enhancing his reading skills. Eduardo is one year below his grade, and this means that he should work harder to comprehend the content better in class.
Ines will be able to analyze and solve a math concept that is aligned with standard 3.1. Given simple math problems for her grade level, Ines should be able to solve them. The goal will be supported by allowing Ines to participate in simple mathematical concepts using hands-on activities. The teacher will solve a simple math problem and ask Ines to solve one of the problems as taught. The feedback obtained will aid the educator in determining whether Ines needs further assistance in learning the specific content or not.
