Part I: Case Study Analysis
Select two students from the "Class Profile." Write a 150-250 word case study analysis for each student focused on your specific content area.
Include the following:
Brief description of student’s specific learning needs
Learning goal for student (“Student will be able to…”), aligned to specific standard (include standard and code)
Activity and strategies to support stated learning goal
Assessment that would support student attainment of the learning goal, and the feedback it would provide the student
Part II: Rationale
In addition, write a 500-750 word rationale for your pedagogical decisions, answering the following:

Part 1. Case Study Analysis
Ines
Ines is a 12-year-old, Hispanic, high intermediate student. The student’s learning performance level is within her grade level. However, she is experiencing learning disability in the form of dyscalculia. Currently, the learning strategy that is used for her for her mathematics subject is Tier 2 RTI, which shows some signs of improvement but not in a pace that was initially planned.
By the end of this learning intervention, the student should have been able to learn to learn and apply statistics and probability in real life. Accordingly, the strategies and activities that would be used to support this learning goal is the use of intensive and multisensory learning strategies that is affordable and easy to access. In line with this, the learning assessment would be based on the student’s capability to apply statistics and probability in answering word problems.
Kent
Kent is a grade 11, White, Male student. Although Kent does not have any learning difficulties, Kent seems to be showing signs of emotional disability. By the end of this learning intervention, Kent should be able to improve his collaborative skills with other students from his grade level and exhibit group and leadership skills in group activities. This includes a focus on his Art and Music interests, which should effectively increase his motivation in the learning process. By the end of the study, the student should be able to be more effective group participation, specifically in handling his emotions while interacting with others.
Part 2
In order to create a multilateral and effective approach in dealing with the student’s learning difficulties, the author is planning to make the learning activities collaborative with their families. Doing a collaborative approach benefits the students by decreasing the actual time and costs that they need to stay in school as well as increasing emotional control in the learning process. In one study conducted by Albright and Weissberg (2010), the authors found out that school-family partnerships can help promote social and emotional learning.
