As more learning institutions adopt technology from middle school, high school to colleges, the concern over the privacy and security of the data and information students enter or write on the various platforms arises.
One of the concerns is what information corporations get when students choose to utilize their devices. For instance, different social media platforms such as Facebook collect significant amounts of data such as name, age, log-in information, and whatever one posts and stores them. As a result, this information is shared with other entities, such as marketing companies, who use it to target individuals for their commercial use (Bates, 2019).
