Being a counselor in training involves many processes. One gains a repertoire of experience and makes one to have a ground on which they can reflect their experience. Signing up for classes was difficult at the first time, since most of us were strangers to each other. The only common thing among us was the thirst and hunger to be trained as counselors. We had to find our way out and finally we signed up for the classes. I was eager to begin my classes. I had always wanted to be a counselor and I knew it was mandatory to attend the classes as part of my qualification. I did my best to attend all my classes. I only missed a few classes at the middle of the training due to health problems.
Class time was always fun time. It was a chance for us to identify the other students’ orientations and beliefs. I gained experience in examining carefully and clarifying my own personal beliefs and approaches.
