Cultural Diversity
Cultural diversity influences the attitude and behaviors of students in the classroom. Significant aspects of the students should not be ignored to foster an environment where differences are accepted and understood. One of the most recognizable elements in schools is race, and it may affect how students perceive each other. The differences are prevalent in immigration groups and persist for several generations. Additionally, the language barriers, religious differences, and cultural values may also affect them (Forrest, Lean & Dunn, 2017). Diversity may lead to economic differences affecting the student's performance. Sexual orientation and gender identity is another source of cultural diversity in schools. Respect for diversity within the school must be observed to ensure better outcomes for all.
