The advancement of technology has changed the spectrum of teaching and learning in colleges and universities worldwide. Online learning has become the alternate replacement of traditional face-to-face learning. The transition has rapidly increased as more and more learning institutions adapt the system in their curriculums. According to online learning statistics, over seven million United States students take at least one course online. 34% of higher education students in 2017 were enrolled in the form of online or distance learning, and the percentage has grown to 84% in 2020 (Friedman & Friedman, 2020). Currently, 98% of all universities in America have switched classes to online, and over 50% of the professors have approved online classes.
Online learning has many advantages that college students can utilize in their studies. One of the advantages of online learning is that students do not have to be physically present in a classroom, making it cheaper.
