Introduction
While the US remains the world's most popular destination for domestic and international students, it is also among the most expensive choices. Higher education's expensive nature is partly attributed to the high salaries earned by skilled professors and lecturers. However, those higher salaries make college degrees extremely valuable, especially in this era where education is a significant aspect of the industrialized world. Regardless of the higher tuition fee, my dream is to earn an undergraduate degree in Arts. Although my parents try as much as possible to meet the financial needs of my education journey, getting financial aid from the Dream Support Grant will be a significant step in attaining my dream.
Dream (Undergraduate degree in Arts)
Attaining a degree or even a diploma is considered a successful end to an academic era culminated with a ceremony. While this is true, attaining an undergraduate degree in Arts to me represents a considerable milestone that no one can match in my family. I am a first-generation student tasked with forging a higher-education path for my two siblings. Among the challenges, I have encountered a conflicting feeling of belonging to a place that no one else in my family has ever been. However, the most notable challenge has adequate funds to pay for tuition fees, personal expenses, room and board, and equipment expenses. Sometimes I engage in part-time jobs to raise funds, but they interfere with my studying hours. If I can get financial and, I will solve some financial challenges. I want to pursue this course to encourage my siblings who have a negative attitude towards art.
Amount of financial aid needed
To complete my undergraduate degree in Arts, I am requesting a scholarship grant of $4900. If granted, the scholarship grant will be budgeted as follows;
