Introduction
The Great Gatsby is credited as a story that gives new insight into the American dream. The story gives two aspects of the American dream. It shows that the dream is possible, and the second where it somehow displays the thought as a simple philosophical thought. The ideas generated by the Great Gatsby are the main reason why it has managed to remain relevant throughout generations as it continues to teach, mentor, and remind many Americans.

The opinions stated in the prompt are related to Jay Gatsby, who had his feelings and eyes set on Daisy Buchanan for the longest time. This section displays how much Gatsby was mesmerized by Daisy and how in his eyes, she was perfect. For example, Gatsby was quite rich, and he had come from a tough background. However, he did not manage to get his ultimate price, Daisy Buchanan. In a way, Daisy still stood as an entity that was above his reach, and to that respect, his desire seemed to overwhelm him to the point that anyone keen enough could notice. Gatsby showed that he had the resilience to raise himself from poverty and make himself a rich man despite whatever means he used to get there. As a result, the statement places Daisy and Gatsby’s property in the same breath, which places the two elements on a weighing scale where his property is reality and Daisy remains to be a dream.
