The project will be submitted to the Journal of Commercial Biotechnology. The Journal has been publishing since 1994; it is a peer reviewed journal with scholarly acclaim amongst industry players. It provides a platform for professionals in the industry to share ideas, explore new technologies in fields ranging from management to bioethics. The journal does not charge submission fees. However, it demands high standards for an article to be accepted. Submissions must be above 2,500 words, but ideally above 4,000 words. Title: The Feeding Of the Nine Billion - A Case for Technology Transfer in Agriculture
The article argues for the necessity of utilizing technology in agriculture. The paper notes that feeding billions of people cannot be effectively done with traditional means of agriculture. Discussion
In vitro fertilization is a process through which the egg from a heifer is fertilized by the sperm of a bull outside the body. This process normally occurs in a petri dish under the care of scientists. The process is unique as it allows breeders greater flexibility in determining the nature and quality of the calves they breed. Thus, a breeder can use eggs from a high-quality cow and fertilize these with sexed semen to produce, gender specific, high-quality calves. The result is a rise in the quality of a herd. The business of cattle breeding is a high risk, high reward business. The initial cost can range from tens of thousands of dollars to millions of dollars. The return on investment can, however, be significantly high. Noting that a prize bull can bring in over half a million dollars.
