Today, a growing number of voices assert that the only way to engender a conversation is by involving the government in all debates concerning environmental or land policies made to the First Nations peoples and African descended peoples. Racial discrimination profoundly affects the daily lives of minorities across the United States. The best way to start a conversation is to look at how land is used by ensuring all redlining practices that discriminate against people of color are removed. Just as it was with the racial reparations, to engender conversation with first nation's peoples and African descended peoples, courts or institutions ought to give legal rulings regarding individual monetary payments, land-based compensations, and settlements.
