* How would you describe the similarities and the differences in the ways you communicate face-to-face, via phone, text, and video?
Face-to-face, phone, text, and video are all channels of communication used often for both formal and informal communication. The differences exist in how speed of communicating and effectiveness. Face to face allows for both verbal and non-verbal whereas video, text, and phone allow users to share verbal content. Normally, engagement remains higher in face-to-face communication than in video, text, and phone (Yuan & Wu, 2020). It is much easier to convince people when in face-to-face communication than when communicating via phone, text, or video. In particular, communication via text can be cumbersome and ineffective compared to video, phone, or face-to-face communication. Generally, face-to-face stands out as the most effective communication channel because it allows for a better exchange of information. After all, both speaker and listener can see each other than it is with text, phone, or video.
