The article delves into the history of video games, citing the 1940s and 1950s when computers were too large, bulky, and expensive for the average person to afford, and only large corporations had them. As a result, people had limited knowledge of computers and their functions. On the other hand, some people have played computer games since the beginning of computers. The first recorded video game was created in 1952 by A.S. Douglas, a computer scientist at Cambridge University; he created the first computer game, “Noughts & Crosses,” also known as “Tic Tac Toe,” which can now be played directly in the browser by simply searching “Tic Tac Toe.” Another enjoyable game was “Spacewar,” but it never reached its peak because computers were still prohibitively expensive for personal use. Though people gradually came to understand what computers were, it is clear that games began a long time ago.
